Nelson-Marlborough swimmers came home with a clutch of medals at the Div II meet held in Rotorua this week. Nick Kerry of Blenheim led the effort, winning three events, the 400 IM, 200 Breast and 100 Fly, and setting several Nelson-Marlborough records in the process (subject to ratification).
Toby Lloyd of Blenheim brought home a gold in the 200 Free, while Cara Pearson of Nelson Swim Club did the honours for the Nelson side of the hill, grabbing the gold in the 200 Fly.
The team brought home a large number of 2nd, 3rd and 4th placings as well, led by Sally McMath and Rachael Clark of Blenheim, and Eddie Neill of Nelson.
The Blenheim Swim Club, with Kieran Raemaki supporting Nick, Toby, Sally and Rachael, finished 5th overall in the club standings, an excellent result.
