Tasman SC wins regional champs
Outstanding individual performances included--
Sam McKenzie won all 10 events he entered, set 7 new age group records and a new SNM open record in the 50m butterfly, and won the Marie Saul Cup for best all round swimmer.
Nick Lovell of Waimea Swimming Club (Broadgreen Intermediate) won gold in all 9 of his events for 11 year old boys.
Piper Riley of Tasman (Waimea College) won eight golds and two silvers in the 13-year-old girls age group, which was very competitive.
Isabella Thurlow of Tasman, who attends Mapua School, won six golds and 4 silvers in a very competitive age group of 12-year-old girls.
For Nelson South, Connor Eden (12, attending Broadgreen Intermediate) won 8 gold and Skye Humphries (11, attending Nelson Intermediate) won 7 gold.
Tomo Clere of Golden Bay won the 14-year-old boys age group, while Ryan Marsh (10) of Blenheim put in a strong performance with four golds and 2 silvers.
Ryan Heywood (14) from Motueka won 3 gold and 2 bronze.
