Swimmers who wish to compete in inter-club swimming meets, or the Tasman Secondary School Swimming Champs, are required to register with Swimming New Zealand as either a club swimmer or competitive swimmer.
To compete in regional, South Island and national meets, a swimmer must be a registered competitive swimmer.
SNZ registration fees for competitive swimmers 2016-17 are $91.50 per swimmer for the period 1 July to 30 June. This is additional to club membership subscriptions and fees. There are currently no SNZ registration fees for club swimmers, i.e. those who do not swim in regional meets.
Of the SNZ registration fee, $35 goes to Swimming Nelson Marlborough to support competitive swimming in our region.
SNZ has set the club fee at $400, of which $225 goes to the region.
Technical officials must also be registered with SNZ. The fee is $15 and is paid by Swimming Nelson Marlborough for 2016-17. This is subject to review each year.
If you wish to transfer to a new club, please ask your club secretary to initiate a transfer on the SNZ database. Swimmers must have paid all amounts owing to their existing club before they are eligible to transfer.
