2025 New Zealand Secondary School Swimming Championships

Held at Waterworld Te Rapa, Hamilton
The New Zealand Secondary School Championships will run across 6 sessions and sees the best secondary school swimmers go head-to-head for the national title and the secondary schools seeking the top school title. The competition has a particular focus on enjoyment and pride in representing your school with lots of relays on offer to promote team swimming as well as some fast swimming!

South Island Short Course Champs

Swimming Nelson Marlborough, along with our host club Blenheim Swim Club are delighted to bring you this years South Island Short Course Championships, being held at Stadium 2000 from 22nd - 24th August 2025.

This competition is designed to give all registered Swimming NZ members aged 12 years and over a short course racing opportunity, with the purpose of crowning South Island Champions.

2025 NZ Short Course Swimming Championships

Held at Sir Owen G Glenn National Aquatic Centre, this event sees the best swimmers from around the country go head-to head for the national short course title. This competition has a blend of age group and open age swimmers. This is the pinnacle short course event in New Zealand and provides the best swimmers in New Zealand to compete at the national level.

The Big Tahuna - Ocean Swim

The Big Tahuna on the beautiful Tāhunanui Beach is back and it’s an event you won’t want to miss! Immerse yourself in an incredible lineup of swims, from the massive 3.2km Big Tahuna to the Banana Boat OceanKids swims. This is the essential ‘Kiwi Summer Swimming Trip Away’ that will surround you with amazing people and the breathtaking beauty of the Nelson Tasman Region.

Top of the South Long Course Meet

Event will be held at Nayland Pool, Stoke.

Here is the flyer for a 2 session LC meet at Nayland Pool on Saturday 15th February co hosted by Tasman Swim Club and Nelson South Swim Club. Entries close 9th February.

It is a PB ribbon meet and has all the events for which swimmers may want qualifying times.

Parents please fill in the helper link. It takes approximately 50 people per session to run the meet. We need everyone to sign up to help please. It’s great to see some people signing up for training for key roles too. We really appreciate it!

Nelson Marlborough Short Course Championships

Swimming Nelson Marlborough along with hosts Blenheim Swim Club are excited to bring you this years SNM Short Course Championships, being held at Stadium 2000 from 21 - 23 June.

This event sees all swimmers from the SNM region race for the regional title in their respective age groups.  This is our regions pinnacle short course age group competition in the Nelson Marlborough region and is a chance for all of our competitive swimmers to compete at a regional level.

There are no qualifying times for this event - however please note the the SNZ Competition Matrix will apply - some age groups will not be eligible for some events. See the Event Schedule for more information.

2024 South Island Juniors

Swimming Nelson Marlborough, along with our host clubs Tasman Swim Club and Nelson South Swim Club are delighted to bring you this years South Island Junior Championships, being held at the Richmond Aquatic Centre from 6th - 7th April 2024.
